Our Fees

How much will it cost to defend me?

Your first consultation is free, no matter the length of time it takes. Overall prices change and depend upon the sophistication and nature of the criminal charge that we’re facing, as every case differs. During our first meeting we establish the price to defend your case and supply written proof of the legal fee to you, so you may be assured there aren’t any additional expenses. You won’t ever be charged extra for photocopying, telephone calls and other related prices.

How are your legal fees calculated?

Block fees are normally preferable when compared with hourly rates where price-sensitivity is an issue. Criminal lawyers usually charge on a fixed or “block-fee” basis. Your legal fees cover all aspects of your file, including meetings with the Crown Attorney, research, preparation, court appearances, negotiations, and private meetings.

Can I pay in installments?

It’s possible for you to organize a flexible, long term payment strategy which will provide you with the reassurance so that you can meet your own other financial obligations. For your convenience, the company takes Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Interac debit, and cash.

Am I eligible for legal aid?

Legal Aid Ontario might have the ability to assist you to pay for an attorney, should you want legal help. To apply for Legal Aid you must finish a monetary qualification evaluation to see if you qualify. The Legal Aid staff will ask questions to learn how much cash you’ve got and determine if you’ve enough cash to pay for your own attorney. If you qualify based on the severity of the charge you’re facing and the fiscal evaluation, you may have the ability to hire an attorney on Legal Aid.
